Global Methane Hub is the first coordinated philanthropic approach to methane mitigation funding. By supporting ambitious catalytic investments, the Hub lays the groundwork for long-term transformation of challenging sectors and delivers quick wins in sectors that are ripe for action on the ground. The Hub focuses on the energy, agricultural, and waste sectors which account for 96% of human-caused methane emissions.
Our actions are global in nature but believe quick wins will only be had if we engage sub-nationals and local communities. Our grantmaking focuses on the highest emitting sectors and regions with a team spread out over six continents and is headquartered in Santiago, Chile.
The Senior Admin Associate will report to the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (CFAO) to support GMH’s administrative functions. This role will be instrumental in managing internal systems related to contracts, payments, and invoicing platform usage, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day financial operations. The Senior Admin Associate will also serve as a key liaison between GMH and external partners, including our fiscal sponsor.
Primary responsibilities
The job holder will have the following key responsibilities:
Contract and payment management
- Assist the CFAO in the coordination and monitoring of all types of contracts between providers, GMH, and our fiscal sponsor.
- Coordinate and monitor outgoing payments from GMH, including tracking credit card movement, invoicing platforms, and managing expense reimbursements.
- Manage and follow-up on reimbursements to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive reports on all contracts and administrative operations.
- Assist in contract preparation and expense tracking to ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
Financial system support and process improvement
- Support, follow-up, and maintain users in the invoicing management platform, focusing on system improvements and efficient usage.
- Implement and monitor administrative systems and workflows to improve efficiency.
- Identify areas for process improvement and assist the CFAO and COSO in designing and implementing enhancements to administrative and operational processes.
- Provide training and support to team members on the use of related internal platforms and tools.
- Regularly review and update system documentation to ensure clarity and ease of use for all users.
Operational coordination and record keeping
- Act as a primary day-to-day contact person with Windward Fund, our fiscal sponsor, and GMH’s team to coordinate and resolve any administrative and payment issues.
- Oversee GMH’s general administration in conjunction with the CFAO.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts, agreements, and financial transactions.
- Support the CFAO in preparing reports by organizing and providing necessary documentation.
- Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies and identify areas for improvement.
- Additional responsibilities as required.

- Bachelor’s degree with three or more years of experience in administrative, financial or operational roles, preferably within a non-profit or mission-driven organization.
- At least three years of proven experience in managing contracts, financial transactions, and expense reimbursements.
- Strong background in managing and improving internal systems, particularly invoicing platforms, with an ability to implement process enhancements that drive efficiency.
- Advanced proficiency in data management and office software, with the ability to train and support colleagues in the use of internal systems and tools.
- Proficient in manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting data.
- Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Multilingual skills and multicultural or cross-cultural experience are appreciated.
- Collaborative and team-oriented with the ability to work in partnership with others.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Handles tasks of any size with a can-do attitude.
- Are passionate about being part of the climate change solution.
- English is the working language; fluency in both written and verbal communication required.

Hiring statement
The Global Methane Hub is a project of Windward Fund, a 501(c)(3) public charity that incubates new and innovative public-interest projects and grant-making programs. Benefits will include all statutory requirements for the hiring location, but at a minimum, GMH offers 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their families; 4 weeks of paid time off, up to 12 weeks of paid sick leave, 16 weeks of parental leave, holidays according to the local calendar, and an additional week of paid time off for end of year office closure. Employees receive wellness, technology, and home composting benefits in addition to professional development and training opportunities.
U.S. based employees are employed by our fiscal sponsor, the Windward Fund. Windward offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employees (and their families). Employees are able to enrol in a 401k retirement plan and are eligible for a 3% automatic contribution and up to a 3% employer match on 401k contributions. Employees are also eligible for pre-tax transportation benefits. Employees will receive 160 hours of vacation time, 80 hours of health leave, up to 2 days of casual leave, and 20 hours of volunteer leave annually. Employees will also receive 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are eligible for 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave after 90 days of employment.

Windward participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with employees’ Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the United States. Additional information
- This will be a full-time (40 hours/week) remote role and will require time flexibility to collaborate with staff and stakeholders in multiple time zones. The position supervisor is in the GMT-4 time zone.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically or internationally at 10%.
