Compassion in World Farming International was founded in 1967 in England by Peter Roberts, a British farmer who became horrified by the development of intensive factory farming. In an age where the debate about food provenance, sustainability and safety has never been more urgent, the challenge for Compassion in World Farming is to combat the spread of factory farming and ensure that animal welfare becomes a fundamental consideration within the global food system.


About the role 

The Fundraising Officer for CIWF Italia will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission to end factory farming and promote global animal welfare. As part of this busy role, you will be responsible for developing, retaining, and acquiring donors through innovative digital channels, directly contributing to the funding of our vital work. Your efforts will help to support the implementation of donor stewardship, individual giving, and legacy marketing programs in Italy. By working closely with our expert team in Italy and colleagues from our international headquarters, you will help grow and expand our successful supporter fundraising program, which will be essential in achieving ambitious growth targets.

This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the fight against factory farming while working within a dynamic and passionate team.


About you 

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a passionate and driven individual, with a strong commitment to animal welfare. You’ll be a clear communicator, with excellent written Italian and English skills. You will need to be organised, and be able  to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, additionally you will have experience in developing communications through digital channels and post. You will have a keen eye for detail, have an analytical mindset, and a creative approach to problem-solving. You will need to have previous experience in performance data reporting and analysis, as well as your ability to deliver compelling storytelling, which in turn will help drive our fundraising efforts forward.
