1 MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT
The Global Resource Mobilization Department, of which Global Development is a part, supports, inspires, and drives the WWF network to increase public and private resources for WWF’s conservation strategy and mission. Help WWF offices mobilize resources for global conservation priorities through strategic public sector partnerships and philanthropy, including working collaboratively with the WWF Network to encourage and facilitate cross-border efforts. Support the sustainable growth of WWF offices by providing strategic support and capacity building to offices and regions and by sharing learning and best practices across the fundraising, resource mobilization, and public sector partnership communities of practice. Raise funds from major donors and philanthropic partners to support WWF’s global conservation strategy and operations.
2 MAJOR FUNCTIONS
- Lead and manage key projects within the Global Development Centre (GDC) portfolio, focusing on priority initiatives aligned with the 25-27 Resource Mobilization Strategy. These are Mass Individual Giving priorities;
- Lead specifically one of the Flagship Programmes, Insight into Action with main tasks on analysis, insight, and planning;
- Coordinate the development and execution of one or more of the 6 Global Flagship programs, ensuring progress and alignment with the overall strategy for Mass Individual Giving;
- Facilitate capacity building and knowledge sharing within the Global Community of Practice for Mass Individual Giving by curating and sharing assets, and training materials, and organizing key activation moments;
- Collaborate closely with international teams, external consultants, and agencies to deliver high-impact fundraising projects and campaigns;
- Act as a key point of contact for WWF Offices, providing GDC Network services that support office-level growth and global-level collaboration;
- Support and implement the “Partners for Growth” framework, ensuring that international support and capacity-building resources are effectively
- integrated to achieve priority outcomes;Utilize strategic insights and analytical tools to guide decision-making and improve the effectiveness of global fundraising initiatives for Mass Individual Giving;
- Foster a “Digital First” approach in the development and execution of projects, while remaining flexible to non-digital fundraising activities where appropriate.
3 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage the Insight into Action Flagship program to support the implementation of Resource Mobilization Strategies, which includes sourcing and interpreting data from diverse sources to drive informed decision-making and strategic insights and create action-based analysis and planning tools for use by the Global Development Centre (GDC) and other WWF office;
- Develop and manage:
- Strategic Tools including Pandalytics and Panda Planner;
- International Fundraising Leadership Forum (IFLF) / Network Performance Overview (NPO) Data c)Project Management, Analysis and Presentation;
- Consumer Insight Research projects;
- Dashboards and KPIs;
- Market Reviews for existing and new potential countries and sectors;
- Fundraising Programme Reviews;
- Investment Funds Review Processes;
- Analysts and Planning Community of Practice facilitation;
- Impact Reporting and Budgeting for GDC Annual Plans;
- Develop plans, resourcing, and budgets for the delivery of one or more Flagships (and their sub-projects) both within the GDC and WWF International as well as through collaboration with the Network;Lead or Co-Lead working groups to deliver sub-projects and activities within Flagships with accountability to deliver project plans to agreed objectives and budgets;
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure resources and support to deliver Flagships both across the Network and within WWF International at middle and senior levels to ensure optimal Network engagement and collaboration. This will also include recruiting and managing any consultants, agencies, or external resources to deliver sub-projects;
- Ensure that best and next practice case studies, toolkits, and techniques are identified and disseminated in areas relevant to the delivery of the 3 strategies and Flagships both from within the Network and from across the sector;
- Directly analyze data to create and communicate insight into critical areas of work that will then be implemented through Flagships and sub-projects and will also develop financial analyses, scenarios, and forecasting for fundraising business cases;
- Provide an ongoing senior fundraising expert advisory support 121 to at least one Network Office Senior Fundraiser as part of the Partnering for Growth Flagship;
- In addition to directly leading workstreams and sub-projects provides resources and expertise to support GDC leads on other Flagships and Strategies to ensure GDC overall objectives are met and that a collaborative, usually virtual and agile way of working is developed within the GDC. This will be agreed upon through annual work plans and ongoing agile decision-making based on work plans developed jointly by each team member with the team and the Director, GDC;
- Support any ad hoc requests from the Director, Global Development Centre to support the Division in delivering conservation activities.
4 PROFILE
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced degree or equivalent extensive experience working in mass individual giving/marketing as a fundraiser and/or consultant;
- Demonstrated experience and capability in project management;
- Extensive experience working in mass fundraising/marketing;
- Extensive experience in a planning and analysis role;Experience in working with and managing projects with fundraising agencies and consultants as well as experience in coordinating and leading international working groups;Experience of working in complex organizations with multiple stakeholders;
- Operational experience in analyzing and developing next and best practices;
- Experience in large-scale fundraising investments, including analysis and process management.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strategic and operational planning;Experience of working independently as part of a virtual team;
- Strong communication capable of working with Fundraising and Marketing leaders as well as with analysts and planners;
- Strong in Excel and other analytical tools and spreadsheets including Power BI;
- Analysis and interpretation of market trends and performance including internal to WWF network and external to include relevant peers;
- Analysis of fundraising performance;

5 WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal:
Supporting GDC colleagues in ensuring Flagship Projects fully leverage data and insights
Working with peers across the WWF Network of Offices to support and catalyze Best Practices as well as to leverage existing insight and learning.
External:
Working with external strategic consultancies, research agencies, and with peer planners and analysts
