World Neighbors

Other

Founded in 1951 by world-renowned humanitarian Dr. John L. Peters, World Neighbors (WN) is a nonsectarian international development organization that works to strengthen the capacity of marginalized rural communities to meet basic needs and sustain autonomous development processes.

WN strives to eliminate hunger, poverty, and disease in the poorest, most rural villages in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. WN focuses on training and educating communities to find lasting solutions to the challenges they face – hunger, poverty and disease – rather than giving them food, money or constructing buildings.
