PETA Germany, founded in 1994, is highly respected for its investigations into animal abuse in the clothing, food, entertainment, pet and animal testing industries. Some of their recent successes include 40 tonnes of food and emergency supplies to brave shelter workers in Ukraine, rescuing nearly 150 animals, exposing a pig farm owned by 3 members of the German Parliament, and lobbying to end fur farming – a decision that is over 20 years in the making.
