Regional Head of Market Development (Europe, Middle East and Africa)

Save the Children International

The Opportunity

Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. We work every day to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. When crisis strikes and children are most vulnerable we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave. We ensure children’s unique needs are met and their voices are heard.

The Global Fundraising and Marketing Hub within the Member Growth team is responsible for partnering with Members to help deliver Save the Children’s ambitious global fundraising growth plans. We support members with their goals to improve performance in key areas of Private Fundraising, focussing on where we have the greatest potential to grow, as well as providing opportunities for all teams to implement proven best practices. This is an exciting and key role within the team, responsible for working with our largest and most mature European markets, as well as developing new approaches to market entry.

Collectively the European region provides a significant source of the organisation’s funding. You will support with strategy planning, create new investment opportunities, and collaborate with our specialist team to ensure teams receive the technical support where required, build best practice and peer-to-peer support opportunities.

Approximately 20% of the role will be dedicated to building a new market entry and market start-up strategies in Europe, Middle East, Africa and potentially in other regions.  You will recommend markets with strong market potential, work with various stakeholders to develop new investment opportunities and secure the right resources to support testing in markets and as well as the resources to support markets in their early stages of start-up and development.
