SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. We work in 135 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year.

Job description

Mission:

Build regional and national fundraising capacity across the region by providing strategic drive and guidance, targeted technical support and clear operating frameworks. In particular, drive net income growth development, increase in number of committed givers in the Region and continue to diversify income streams.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Provide senior level consultancy to countries of the Region in the field of Fundraising
  • Promote, initiate and consult on use of new products/channels
  • Ensure implementation of global and regional policies, standards and guidelines and monitor their correct application across the region
  • Drive implementation in the region of Fund Development
  • Coordinate the development of regional fund development support plans and reports ensuring alignment with the organization’s global strategic plan and regional priorities.
  • Monitor fundraising activities based on agreed strategic plans
  • Supervise and coordinate communications for Fundraising within the Region.  
  • Budget Management

Candidate requirements

  • Degree in Business, Administration, or similar with understanding of or interest in local and global development issues
  • Ability to conduct critical analysis and integrate information
  • Excellent communication skills.  Spanish speaker; proficient in English (a must)
  • Ability to build strong relationships/networks and to work and cooperate effectively with peers, partners, stakeholders and others who are not in the line of command
  • Availability to travel abroad frequently
