CARE International is one of the world’s leading humanitarian organisations, fighting poverty and inequality in 90 countries.  CARE’s small but dynamic global fundraising function provides strategy and specialist support for fundraising growth across the CARE Confederation of fourteen fundraising members raising $650 million a year from public and private sources.  CARE’s global program strategy drives a significantly step up our ambition to save and protect lives in emergencies and bring lasting change through our programs which focus on smart solutions and empowering women and girls.  To resource our bold vision, we need to accelerate and strengthen income growth plans, and this role is key to this growth.

It’s an exciting time to join CARE. Overall, the Confederation is moving towards a new vision of global influence and impact with a unified approach and interdependent way of working.  At the same time raising funds is becoming more competitive and complex with supporters and partners demanding impact, value for money and transparency.  The current Global Fundraising and Public Engagement Director started in September 2018 and is building on previous work to create and shape global standards and share best practice.
