International Integrated Reporting Council
The International Integrated Reporting Council (‘the IIRC’) is a
global coalition of regulators, investors, companies, standard setters, the
accounting profession and NGOs. The coalition is promoting communication about
value creation as the next step in the evolution of corporate reporting.
Organizations are using Integrated Reporting to
communicate a clear, concise, integrated story that explains how all of their
resources are creating value. is helping businesses to think
holistically about their strategy and plans, make informed decisions and manage
key risks to build investor and stakeholder confidence and improve future
performance. It is shaped by a diverse coalition including business leaders and
investors to drive a global evolution in corporate reporting.
The IIRC’s vision is to align capital allocation and corporate
behaviour to wider goals of financial stability and sustainable development
through the cycle of integrated reporting and thinking. Its mission is to
establish integrated reporting and thinking within mainstream business practice
as the norm in the public and private sectors.
The IIRC has this year undertaken a fundamental
review of its fundraising strategy and activities, with the goal of maximising
and diversifying the IIRC’s long-term and sustainable income. As part of that
review this new post of Senior Fundraising Manager has been created.
The new IIRC fundraising strategy and associated
activities will be focused primarily on further developing relationships with
existing funders including organizations represented on the IIRC Council, and
securing new funds from major foundations primarily in the UK and US, but also
further afield. Additionally, part of this role will involve exploring and
developing potential new funders including HNWI and government funders.
The post holder will have an exciting opportunity
to support the organization in shaping and implementing the IIRC’s new
fundraising strategy, in partnership with the management team, CEO, and Board.
The post holder will also serve as an - advocate
for the organization in relation to fundraising activities, and will work
closely with the management team and CEO in their interactions with key
external stakeholders, donors and prospects.
The Senior Fundraising Manager has responsibility for implementing the
new fundraising strategy with the following objectives:
submission and development of high quality proposals, budgets and reports.
In the process
and prior to submission, ensure that budgets are realistic, accurate and in
compliance with donor requirements.
development of all proposals.
ensure internal approvals of all grant proposals and solicitation letters to
maintain and enhance the IIRC’s reputation and credibility with grant giving
bodies through the implementation of best practice in grants management for all
funders and projects.
information and keep up to date the Salesforce grant management system and
funder database on a regular basis and provide reporting and evaluation to
donors and internally to the IIRC.
IIRC to remain accountable to funders by staying in touch with progress of
program implementation, especially on large/complex/high-risk grants.
steward selected foundations other funders to secure renewal of grants and
and collaborate with other members of the IIRC team, to deliver core fundraising activities as effectively as possible.
Other tasks as
assigned according to the grade and nature of this post.
At least five
years’ experience and proven track record of successfully developing large
scale (multi-year) funding proposals to a variety of national and international
foundations and institutional sources.
developing and nurturing mutually beneficial relationships with funders.
experience of donor compliance issues.
identifying funding information sources and carrying out in-depth research on
supporting and working with long-term foundation fundraising strategy.
develop relationships with funders and represent the IIRC in a professional
manner with professionals in the external funding world.
and experience of project planning with competing deadlines, implementation,
monitoring and evaluation.
analysing, compiling and editing budgetary information for complex projects.
ability to work effectively within a team, delivering on clear goals,
coordinating work with colleagues and providing advice to other members of the
team when required.
ability to negotiate solutions and resources between team members.
to write and edit compelling, creative, succinct and clear proposals and
reports is essential with the ability to translate complex organizational data
into clear and simple messages for a wide range of audiences.
and ability to travel nationally and internationally on occasion.
computer and IT skills, including the use of standard MS software packages
(SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as fundraising
databases (ideally Salesforce).
the issues relevant to the IIRC by stakeholders around the world.
judgment and creative abilities, including influencing, negotiating and problem
combine self-management and self-support when working alone with productive
interest in the IIRC’s mission and objectives.
